Dave O'Heir for Vice President

Fellow Dems,

I’m from Waterville and am currently going to the University of Maine in Orono where I’m a member of the UMaine College Democrats. I grew up in a Democratic family in a Democratic town, and I’m looking forward to helping Ben Goodman to ensure that college students remain an important part of the Democratic base vote in Maine.

I’m a Democrat because I believe that government is a necessary force for the common good. The most worthwhile causes are those that help others and that are larger than one’s self-interest. I’ve been working and volunteering in Maine for various campaigns and causes for a few years now.

I’ve enjoyed watching Ben Goodman this past election cycle up at UMaine. He is passionate about the Democratic Party, has a ton of energy, and doesn’t take himself too seriously—attributes which will make him a good president of the Maine College Democrats. I hope to assist Ben as a vice president in whatever way I can.
