Meet Ben

Ben Goodman is a sophomore at the University of Maine majoring in political science.  He is the host of Drive Time Bangor, Eastern Maine's favorite news/talk morning show, airing daily on WMEB 91.9 FM.

Ben Goodman is a sophomore at the University of Maine, majoring in political science.  He is active on campus as a member of the UMaine General Student Senate, College Democrats, and the Sophomore Owls Society.

In July 2009, he was elected President of the Maine College Democrats. 

Ben is the co-host of Drive Time with Benny and the Jet, the premier morning show in the metro Bangor, Maine area, airing on the University of Maine's WMEB 91.9FM.  In addition to conversations with Maine's biggest newsmakers, each morning, Ben, co-host Peter "The Jet" Christopher, and the Drive Time team bring Eastern Maine the latest news, weather, sports scores, lottery numbers, and more.

On Sunday evenings, Ben also moderates The Weekly Filibuster, a national college political radio show, featured on MSNBC, Politico.com, and in newspapers and on television stations across the country.

Ben currently represents York County Democrats on the Maine Democratic State Committee, and serves on the body's executive committee.

In May 2008, he was elected by Democrats in Maine's first congressional district as a Barack Obama delegate to the Democratic National Convention, held August 25-28, 2008 in Denver, Colorado.
