Ben Goodman has spent a lifetime fighting for the voices of those not always heard by the elite of our society. He will work to make the Maine College Democrats a major player in the politics of the state.
Like so many of you, Ben worked for change in his home state of Maine this past election. He also worked to make sure that our leaders would never again overlook the voices of young people across our nation. Together we made it clear that they could not ignore us any longer.
In order to continue the trend we need to move into the 2010-midterm election cycle with a sustainable organization that will not only work in 2010 but every election after that as well. It is key that we do not lose this momentum or we could slip back into the old practices that got us in so much trouble. Communication and organization between colleges is going to be essential to the success of this organization.
Ben Goodman is one of the most effective organizers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is the right man to take the enthusiasm and passion we saw last fall and translate it into a long-term success. We should be considered a valuable asset for any campaign big or small.
